I’m Jonah Burke, and Symbolic is my software-development studio. Based in Tribeca, New York, I create applications and web sites for startups, small businesses and non-profits. On every project, I try to help my clients make sound technical decisions and build beautiful software that lasts. I enjoy working with people who love what they do and want to change the world for the better.

I have ten years of professional experience, four at Microsoft and six at Symbolic. I have worked not only as a programmer but also as a project manager and interaction designer. I work at all levels of the software stack, and I am fluent in various languages, frameworks, and libraries. I am a strong proponent of automated testing and source control.
